“you can use different aliases or outgoing email addresses with one account.
go to mail>preferences>accounts, select the account you would like, and in the account information pane, in the email address field, add the email addresses you would like to use after the primary one, all separated by a comma, as in “mym...@mydomain.com, e...@mydomain.com, i...@mydomain.com”

once that is done and when you create a new email with that account, you will have the choice of using either the main email address or the other associated aliases. please note that you cannot change the name also, so the name that appears will be the same whether you choose the primary email address or the aliases.”
